North American Wood Frog:
On Wednesday April 9th we as a class embarked individually on a biology research project that would evolve around elution, species, and general individual interest.
We were each assigned to make a 2:30 to 4:30 minute long video on a topic we choose from a list of 4 options that was supplied by our teacher, Mr. Leader. There was four different interesting topics that i could have choose to make my video on. In my case i wanted it to be unique and something that i would know that i would never learn normally in school.
At first i choose to make a video on alternate energy and have it showcase a solar array that would be constructed in 29 Palms California on top of a off the grid house. This was a good starting point for me to make my video on but i overestimated the difficulties in media that i had available. My only real source of “said” media was a .cad project that i was working on in Solidworks and Sketchup. This would be hard for me to get four minutes of footage out of so i scrapped the whole idea completely.
At this point i was two days into the project and stuck with the dilemma of not having an idea. That night though i was on r/videos and saw an awesome video on the north Amarican tree frog. This had inspired me the next day in class to start research on this little frog in class. By the end of the class period i wrote my whole script and was waiting to get home so that i could voice over some video and pictures i had already compiled in Sony Vegas.
That night i got home and audio recorded. I was off to a great start. I spent about two hours putting it all together in Vegas and flushed it all out making sure to correct all mistakes before exporting it. I finished my video and it was exported by 11:00pm and was ready to present in from of my whole team of three classes the next day.
